Projects > Council Ridge PRIMARY PROPERTY SOLD and PRESERVED, represented seller and buyer (Unincorporated Area near Escondido and Daley Ranch)

The Council Ridge Project is a joint effort of LCB, The Escondido Creek Conservancy, the Deer Park Monastery, private property owners and other community and conservation organizations. The goal is to preserve up to 400 acres of land adjacent to the Daley Ranch in the City of Escondido. Targeted properties are near or adjacent to the 3,058-acre Daley Ranch, a conservation area acquired by the City of Escondido in 1996 and protected in perpetuity for the preservation of a biologically unique and diverse habitat area of regional importance. LCB has represented sellers and buyers in the Project Area, successfully selling two easements and the underlying fee on the MJM Ranch, a 212-acre property of old growth chaparral, now largely preserved. With LCB’s help, the seller was able to sell a very difficult piece of land in four transactions totaling $1,870,000. Other project lands offer additional mitigation and restoration opportunities.
